Welcome to AOFSRR 2013

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is my distinct pleasure to welcome you to the 2013 workshop of the AOFSRR (Asia - Oceania Forum for Synchrotron Radiation Research). Mercifully, we are happy to be able to hold the workshop in Japan this year despite the megathrust Tohoku earthquake that struck us two years ago. We would like to again express our sincere appreciations to the kindness and the warm supports of our friends in the AOFSRR countries.

The objective of the AOFSRR is to promote comprehensive cooperation for the development of science and technology in the Asia Oceania region. I strongly believe that this workshop will once again provide an opportunity to make fruitful communications for advancing the research goals of the parties. I look forward to seeing you all on September 21 - 24, 2013, in Himeji, a city with the beautiful historical heritages of Japan.
